Strong southerly winds prevailed in tho south on Saturday night with colder weather, rain in many, parts, and snow on higher, levels'. High pressure prevails in tho south, but tho barometer is a little abovo normal in the far north. Rain is reported on the East Coast of tKo North Island, and showery conditions in both tho far North and South. Present indications arc for moderate to strong easterly and southeasterly winds generally. liain is probablo on the East Coast and northern parts of the North Island, but fair weather will' probably prevail generally.
