THE EXHIBITION.
A meeting of the Entertainment Com* mitten of the forthcoming Industrial F.x«. hibition was held in Mr. H. V. Alien'*, rooms yesterday evening. A letter was received from the English. Pierrot Company, who have, been ongaged for a ten weeks' season, asking the committee to make final arrangements for lighting, fitting up the stage, and llio provision of stage furniture. It; was decided, to fix the "price of admission.-to the entertainment at ouo'shilling, with booking fee. sixpence extra. The company (which, arrives tare on' May 17 from Australia) is a particularly strong one, and includes .such artists as Mr... Moynard. Dakin, of the London Pavilion, Mr. Turner, a well-known Yorkshire cv.tcrtniner, M"r. Leslie Austin, baritone (late of J. 0. Williamson's Opera Company), Mr. 1?. . Turner accompanist, Mr. Chapman, lha tenor of the parly, and Miss Ehn l.augley, comedienne, and "Miss Philipson, soprano (lats of ■the, Mcynell and Gnnn.. Opera Company). The company take CO per coat, of the gross receipts, and the Exhibition Committee take the rest, and bear all expenses. The following is the personnel of tho Home Industries Commit tee:—Messrs. J., P. Luke, M.P., T. Bal linger, F. C. Crease, 11. Scat™, E. Bull, and T. It. Partridge, and Mestlamos Luke, Crease, Bollinger, Bull, and Partridge. It was mentioned that the various stalls are now finally completed, ajul ready to receive the stallholders' exhibits. The chairman, of the Fine Arts Committee (Mr. 11. S. Wardoll) has issued a further circular stating that the Exhibition Executive Committee is prepared to insure itr full against fire and accept re. sponsibility for any dnmasro to pictures or art curios lent for exhibition in the Art Gallery up to 25 per cent, of the value-as-sessed by the owners nnd members of c: sub-committee conjointly.
