THE RIOTS AT CANTON.
ATTACK ON THE FOREIGN QUARTER. By Telegraph—Press Association—CopyricM London, Hay 2. Renter's Peking, correspondent states that British marines arc guarding Shamefln, a small foreign residential quarter of Canton. Guns are posted at points along tho canal. The rebels unsuccessfully attacked tho police stationed between the city and the foreign settlement. The revolutionaries burned four yaniens at Fntshan, nine miles west-south-west of Canton.
