THE BUTTER IN COOL STORES.
INTERESTING COMPARISONS. In yesterday's Dominion figures were given -whichshowed that there were 40,721 boxes of butter in the cool stores of the company on April 29. ■ The details for the various centres wore published, aud the total in stoi'o at the same time last year (02,723 boxes) also was given. ' A comparison, shows that tho increase is chiefly in Auckland, where nearly threo times as much butter is being- hold as was stored at the end of last April. New Plymouth and Dunedin, too, have' an. increased quantity on hand, but Wellington, Patea, and Lyttelton hold less than thoy held last year at this stage of Jhe. season. In 1903, 70,128 boxes wero on the stores at the end of April; and at the end of that . month in 1909 tho quantity was 41,605.
