A match for junior players -and beginners will bo played every Saturday ailernoon on No. 2 ground, Duppa. Street Reservo. A cordial welcome is extended to beginners to whom practical tuition will be Riven. It was decided that, provided necessary arrangements as to the ground can be made, the- annual representative match against Auckland bo played cither on Coronation Day (Juno 22) or on Saturday, June 24. Favourable consideration was given to a proposal made by the chairman that such Auckland and Wellington representative players as could make the trip should combine with leading Christchurch players in giving an exhibition of lacrosse in the Cathedral City towards the end of June. The game has recently been inaugurated under very encouraging auspices in the southern city, and a first-class exhibition of lacrosse should give a decided fillip to the. game there. It was resolved that endeavours bo made to arrange exhibition matches in the leading provincial towns, with a view to further spreading the game which is rapidly becoming recognised as a scientific, and attractive game for both players and .spectators. Mr. A. C. Jantkc was appointed sole selector of fho representative teams. It was resolved that the Proud Silver Cup may not bo won outright, but may be held for a season by the champion club, whose name will bo engraved, on .the cup. Championship caps, will bo presented by tho association to the members of tho winning team, and it was confidently expected that some supporter of 'the game would generously donate caps for the representative team.
