THE PRINCE OF WALES.
The investiture of the Prince of WaleJ at Carnarvon Castle is to be a stately ceremony, reviving all the ancient glory of Wales. The i J rincc will be adorned with a mantle and a chaplet and inverted with a ring and a stall' given to hun by the people of Wales. In all respects tno precedent of the investiture of lienry,' V by his father will bo followed as closc- . ly os possible. j Much progress was ma<le on March 3t at a meeting of the Investiture Committee which was held in a committee-roiom of the House of Commons. The Ear'l of Plymouth presided. The following; authorised announcement was made ate'er tho Meeting:— / "Tho investiture of his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales by hl's Majesty the King will take place in Carnarvon Castle on July 13, at 2.30 p.m./ Tho Queen will also bo present." \ Their Majesties will stay in the lloyal yacht: at Itolyliead. 'I'hoy will proceed by train from Holyhead to Griffiths grossing Station; thence they will drivo to the Cnsllo Square at Carnarvon, whero they will bo received by Iho Mayor and corporation, who will nrescnt an address of welcome. They will then proeecd to the Water Gate. The ceremony within the castle is provisionally arranged by the I/>rd ChamWlain. Two main processions will lie formed, that of Hie I'rinee of' Wales proceedin:; first, followed by that of tho King mid Queen. The King will perform tho ccremony, and a religions service- will bo conducted by flic Bishop of Bangor and by a representative minister of the Nonet nformist Churches. There will bo singing by a choir of '100-voices, trained and cniducicd bv Mr. John Williams, organist of Christ Church, Carnarvon. Steps will bo taken by tho committed b obtain a bank holiday and school holiday throughout Wales and Monniouthshire on July 13,
