<) DEFENCE FUND OF £50,000.By TclcErranli—Press Association—Copyrieht New York, April 27. The Western Federation of Miners is subscribing £50,000 for the legal defence of MacNamara (secretary of the International Bridges and Ironworkers' Structural Union, and a member of the federation), and MacManigale, both of whom are charged with murder in connection with the explosion which, in September last, wrecked the offices of the "Los Angeles Times" and killed several persons. Los Angeles, April 27. Mr. Clarence Darrow has been retained as chief counsel for MacNamara anc| MacManigale.
