B- Bailey, S.M., in the three cases in which Adjutant Th'urkettle, of the Salvation Army, was charged under the Cathedral Square Bylaw with having hejd meetings and prayed aloud in the, Square without the permission of the City Council. Counsel, on behalf of the Army, said that the intention was to have the cases moved to the Supreme Court, where an effort would bo made to have the by-law quashed. If tho council repealed the by-law, the' matter would probably end. Inspector M'Grath consented to theadjournment. He said, that the proceedings had been taken against other people, and if the Army case.was removed to tho Supremo Court, an adjournment would be granted in them also, when application was' made.
