PRICE OF TIMBER.
EXPECTED RISE IN SYDNEY. By Telegraph—l'ress Association—Copyrielit Sydney, 1 April 25. The "Sydney Morning Herald" states that most of the timber companies are combining to raise the price of timber by ten to twenty per centum early in May. Tho paper adds that business will be proportioned by the combine to oach firm, and that heavy penalties will be provided for any firm exceeding the allotted business.
