The Tliorndon car-shed is now completed. Yesterday it was inspected by Sir. n. SI. Baird, chief electrician of the Post and Telegraph Department, and Mr. C. I?. Vickerman.of the Public Works Department. No cars were, housed in the shed last evening, but it will be used to-night. It has a capacity for twenty full-sized cars. .
About CO members of the Hardware Rifle Association assembled ut Godber's rooms last evening, when they held their annual reunion. Mr. W. Duthio occupied the chair'. A number of musical items were contributed, which helped to make a vcrv enjoyable evening. The health of Mr. Marshall, who leaves next week for the.
