It is officially announced that it is tho King's gracious intention to. entertain 100,000 of tho London children at a fete at tho Crystal Palace on June 30 next, in celebration of the Coronation. A committee has been formed. Several weeks ago when the Court was at Windsor, tho King, while considering various suggestions in connection with the coming Coronation festivities, conceived the happy idea of inviting one hundred thousand London children to bo his guests on some day during the Coronation period. The Queen enthusiastically supported the idea, and the foregoing intimation indicates that their Majesties and their advisers havo gone to work in a thoroughly practical way.
Tho funeral of the lato Admiral CurzonHowe took place from Portsmouth on March G. A large number nf well-known soldiers and sailors attended. Admiral Sir Lewis Beaumont represented the King, who sent a wreath. Lord Howe represented Queen Alexandra. Tho remains were interred at St. Mark's Church, Highcliffe. The bearers were from the crew of the deceased's yacht, the Fire Queen. Wreaths included one from his widow, bearing tho inscription, "My darling, my darling"; a large one from the German Emperor, and tributes from • officers of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
