FEATHERSTON
The balance-sheet of the Town Board for the year ending March 31 will ho presented at, the monthly meeting this evening. It discloses a credit balance of about £70, as- against a debit of £■12 last year.
At the lncal Rifle Club's meeting on Saturday the principal scorers at 500, COO, and 700 yards were: C. Nix, 32— 3-1—33—90; Wakcly, 33—34—32—99; Beuton, 31—32—32—95; W. Nix, 29— 35-31—95; Williams, 30-32—32—94. ' The population of Featherston has increased by 73 since the last census was taken live years ago, the, present number of residents being 743.
