To-day Mr. I'alothorpo, representing the Orchards, Gardens and Apiaries' Division of the Agricultural Department, visited Now Plymouth, and made arrangements for the 'destruction of large consignments of grub-int'ecled potatoes from the South Island. It is probable that they will bo taken well out to sea by tho dredge, and dumped overboard. Already largo quantities have been buried, and covered with lime at. Inglcwoad, to prevent the ■ spread of the infection.
