SIXTH ANNUAL MEETING. The sixth annual general meeting of thoWellington Ladies' Hockey Association was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms last evening, when-members and delegates of the various clubs were present. The chair was occupied by Dr. Arnold Izard. The annual report (already published) was presented by the secretary, Mis 9 L. M. Mackellar. The balance-sheet showed a revenue of JIOS Os. ail., and expenditure of «£lot 17s. 6d., leaving a credit balance of ,£3 2s. lid. The assets o\er liabilities total 10s. sd. . . . In speaking to the report, Dr. Izard regretted to . note that there had . been a falling off in the enthusiasm-and in. the number of players. In connection with the forthcoming tournament," he would propose that it should be held unon the same -line's as those of a few years ago.He thought that some scheme should bo devised so that matches should not be played every day, for the men -themselves did not play more than two championship matches, a week. However, if the association. had decided otherwise, it could not now be helped. In regard to the proposed bazaar for the purpose of rawing funds, he thought that the Hockey Association ought to he self-supporting, and the incoming committee ought seriously to consider the advisability of raising the fees. He congratulated those who had won the championship. The report and ■ balance-sheet were adopted. It was decided that the : executive should consist of five, members instead of seven; also that, the quorum should be reduced from Bvo to three.
