ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
FATAL TRAP ACCIDENT. (Dy Telegraph.—Press Association.) Christchurch, April G. An inquest was onened this mormnu touching the death of George Leonard Wittp, aged 71 years, who was , killed through being thrown from a trao hi Lincoln Road yesterday afternoon. "Dr. J. 1!. Thomas stated that Mrs. Witte, the mother of the boy, was suffering to severely from shock that she was unable to attend and give evidence. The inquest wbs, therefore, adjourned until such time as Mrs. Witte should have recovered.
A BROKKM LEG. A man named Smith was found in Lainbton Quay at ;i late hour last night suffering from a fractured leg. lie was taken to the Lusnital in the ambulance. The only particulars available last night were that he. resides at the Trocadero Hotol, ami comes from Duncdin. Thomas "Dedovit, residing at 20 Jcfsio Street, was admitted to the hosnital yesterday suffering from injuries received on the wharf. Dcdout was cngiiged shipping horses, ono of which kicked him on the side of the body. The extent of the man's injury is not yet known.
