Trie, regulations governing the affiliation entailed that the annual ice be £1 Is., and rho representation one delegate, that the sub-Pssoeinlion be self-governed, but have, the right to refer any matter to tho Management Committee of the association for decision; that members of tho sub-association b? eligible for inclusion in the representative teams. This was carried. Officers were elected as follow:— President, Dr. IT. C. l'aulke; vice-presidents, Dr. Izard. Mr. A. L. Hcrdman, and Mr. AV. I.ucfcie; vice-president of the Now Zealand Hockey Association, Mr. W. G.. Garrard; lion, secretary, Mr. A. A. Benpott; lion, treasurer, Mr. E. Thompson; Management Committee, Messrs. J. AY. M'Donald. H. V. AYalton. C. H. Strack, L. E. Christie, C. Hockson, Mill, and R. Parton; Iron, auditors Messrs. \Y. Rickson and AY. S. AA'heoler. The trophies won last year were presented.
TEAMS FOR SATURDAY. The following will play in a trial match for Greggs on Saturday at Duppa Street at .1 p.m.:— A t;am: Mansfield, Bennington, Tin-, ney, Batten. MAXAYYATU ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the Manawatu Hockey Association was held at Palmerston on Tuesday night, Air. Garner in the chair. An apology was received from the president (Mr. 11. R. Cooper), who intimated that, he would donate .£5 ss. towards the expenses of the trip of the representative- team to tae South Island this season. The annual report stated that the game was steadily progressing in the district, and tho association now controlled 250 plovers. The balance-sheet showed a credit of M 12s. 2d. The following officers were fleeted:— Patron, Jlr. J. A. Nash; president, Jlr. 11. p. Cooper; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Mlvewen. "IT. M. Simmonds, R. Jl'Xab, and W. Strang; secretary, Jlr. C. .1. M'Hardie: treasurer, Mr. G. Watchorn; auditor, Jlr. K. K. Swallow; delegate to New Zealand Hockey Association, Jlr. E. Nordon (Christchurch): committee, Jfessrs. Crump, Primrose, Anderson, AYebb and Cleaver. It was decided to open the season on the first AA'cdnesdav in Jlay.
