LARGE GATHERING IN SYDNEY. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright Sydney, April 5. A large gathering of representatives of the Presbyterian, Methodist, and Congregational Churches has carried a resolution affirming the principle of union. Lord Chelmsford, ; tho State Governor, who presided, deplored tho alienation, at present existing, of vast masses of the people from the churches.
