An Austrian named Dcsanti caused a commotion in the Basilica of St. Peter's Cathedral by firing at two priests with n revolver, and subsequently wounding n policeman. • Dcsanti states that he had long been imprisoned for two murders. He had been in Rome since August awaiting an opportunity to shoot the Pope. The man is believed to bo insane. It will be necessary to reconsecrate the' Basilica.
