MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.

Tho Missions to Seamen Institute was crowded to the doors last evening, when Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Powles provided a successful, concert. Mr. J. S. Cumniings occupied tho chair. Tho following contributed vocal and elocutionarv items to tho programme :*-Mrs. Malcolm Ross, Messrs. Stevens, Lampen, Goss, Tombs, Stedman, and Verne. Misses Kirk and Pcwles played the accompaniments. Several popular* choruses were sung by the audience, Mr. Gardner acting as accompanist. An amusing conundrum competition was won by sailors from ships in port. A hearty vote of thanks was given the performers at the conclusion of the concert, Mr. Powles briefly responding. Light refreshments'wero afterwards dispensed.
