Potatoes—Prime quality potatoes are realising £4 10s. per ton. Butter, prime bulk meets with good inquiry, at aid. to lGd. per lb. ' Cheese, both loaf and medium arc in good demand. Eggs.—Fresh eggs are exceedingly dull of sale, the current Quotations Is. 4d. to Is. M. per dozen tor best-known brands. Hams-and Uacon.—The market continues firm, but without any change in values. Fungus—Owing to the heavy drop in tl'.o Chinese market, the current' quotation is 4*d. per lb. for best dry. Bran is quoted at £4 per ton f.o.b. south. Pollard.—The demand .continues good, with tho Quotation at £6 per ton f.o.b. south. Flour.—A good business is being put through on tho basis of £3 per ton f.o.b. south. Oatmeal.—Tho millers are now asking £11 10s. f.o.b. south. Fowls' Wheat.—Excellent business is being done, and values remain steady. Oats.—Some very fine samples arc coming forward this season, tho bulk of the output being up to A grade. Capo barley is.offering freely at 3s. 6d. to 3s. 9d. a bushel. Feed barley meets, with very little demand, the quotation here being 2s. 9d. to 2s. lOd. por bushel. Maize—Some excellent samples arc coming forward; These are selling at 3s. 2d. to 3s. 3d. per bushel. Vegetables.—The market is being well supplied with swedes by local growers, the quotation being £2 to £2 10s. per ton; car. rots and parsnips range from 3s. 6d. to 4s. 6d. per sack; French beans, 3s. to 4s. 6d. per half sack; green peas are in good request at 7s. to 9s. for prime quality. Cabbages are in good demand, at 4s. to ss. 6d. for best quality; pie-melons are selling at on. 6d. to 4s. 6d. per cwt.; kumeras range from 3s. 6d. to 7s. Gd. for 3ft. cases. Fruit.—The Navua is due hero on Friday with the usual monthly shipment of Fiji bananas. On this occasion (owinc to the Aorangi being ten days late) tho Fiii fruit will not clash with that from tho Cook Islands, as is usually the case. A good demand exists for choice dessert pears, and prices range fi'ntn 7s. to 9s. per case, according to quality. Lemons continue in short, supply, New Zealand grown realising Bs. to , 9s. per case. Regular shipments of grapes are now. coming forward from New South Wales and South Australia, and, ps they a-re carried in cool chambers, the bull; arrives in excellent condition. Cape gooseberries are short of reciuirements, -and consignments are recommended. Peached are wanted, and realise from 3s. 6d. to 4s. 6d. per half case, according to quality. Heavy supplies of tomatoes continue to come forward from the Hutt district, and realise from Is. 6d. to 3s. per half case.

The wheat and flour afloat for tho United Kingdom totals 4,110,000 cuarters; lor the Continent, 3,005,000 ouarters; Atlantic shipments, 177.0C0; Pacific shipments, 15,000. The total shipments to Europe during the week amounted to 1,585,000 nuarlers, including 460,000 from Argentina, 415,000 from Russia, 1!5,C;00 from Danubian districts, 104,000 from India, and 190,000 from Australasia.
