—$ ' AUSTRALIAN CADETS. By Tclejrapli—Press Association-Copyright Sydney, March 28. The cadet contingent going to the Coronation has been increased ill number to 120.
Tho contingent ot senior cadets whioii will represent- tho Commonwealth at tlio Coronation is being raised bv private sub* scription. In New South Wales each town has been invited to nominate one or two boys for inclusion and to defray their expenses. The idea was heartily taken up, and it is evident that a particularly stalwart detachment will be formed. So far (says the 'Sydney "Herald" of March 20) some 130 lads liavo signed tho necessary agreement.-; and passed the doctor, anil' another 00 or 70 are expected. In the poorer districts Iho senior cadets are helping themselves by organising entertainments, and enlisting the services of local caterers for public amusement in the direction of giving benefit performances. Picture show proprietors have been waited upon, and in many instances, particularly on the North Shore, they have readily given their assistance. Although the date of sailing is not quite certain, it will probably be April 21 or 22, and for some days prior to that the cadets will be encamped in Sydney.
