AUCKLAND PILOT BOAT BURNT.
BENZINE FUMES THE CAUSE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, March 26. The Harbour Board's pilot boat Kuaka was burned to tho water's edge, and sank at her moorings, near the North. Head, Inst night. She was about to put off on duty, when flames were noticed emerging from the engine-room. These vroro evidently caused through the accumulation, of benzine vapours. Strenuous eftorti were made to save the boat, but without avail.
