PERSONAL ITEMS.
To-day the Hon. J. Carroll will 1)9 in Wellington, the Hon. G. Fovlds in Chvistchnrch, the Hon. J. A. Millar, the Hon. T. Mackenzie, and the Hon. D. Buddo in Wellington, the Hon. It. M'Kenzie en route to Wellington from Napier, and tho Hon. A. T. Kgata on tho East Coast. Mr. W. G. Buchanan, M.P., returned to Wellington from Christchurch yesterday morning. Mr. A. L. Hcrdman, M.P., returned to Wellington from Wauganui on Saturday. Mr. Sidney Stafford, a member of the Onslow Borough Council, was waited oiv by a deputation on Saturday, with the. request that he should offer himself as a candidate for the Mayoralty of Onslow. Mr. Stafford is to give a reply to-day. Although he has been requested by a number of citizens to allow himself to be nominated as a candidate at the coining municipal election, Mr. Alex. Campbell (of the firm of Campbell and Burke, of this city), has definitely decided not to stand. Tho Hon. B. M'Kenzie is to arrive in Wellington this evening after his extended lour of tho East Coast and the Bay of Plenty. Mr. Justice Chapman is a passenger from Gisborne for Wellington by the Hauroto, which is due here to-morrow.
