CENTRAL MISSION.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE.' _The Central Mission gathering at the King's Theatre last evening took tho form of a memorial service for tho lato Mrs. w> W.-Parkes, wife of one of the bandsmen. The Rev. E. 0. Blamires preached an impressive sermon on "Immortality." It was based on the text: " —our Saviour, Jesus Christ, Who hath abolished death and hath brought life nnd immortality to light through the Gospel." During the service tho band played "G'arland of Flowers," the congregation standing. Mr. I\ Newton rendered effectively the solo "Shining as the Stars," and Miss Ena »w(l» M.A., sang with effect "Nearer My God to Thee. . On Sunday next the anniversary of tho Mission Sunday School will be cefeljrated. Mrs. Blamires will conduct the mornin* , service. The superintendent, at an after" noon meeting, will give a demonstration of sand-table work, and the Rev. E. 0. Blamires will couduct the everiin" service
