HOCKEY.
■ST. MARK'S CLUB. The Rev. A. 11. Johnson presided over a well-attended meeting of young men in St. Mark's Clubroom on Monday, when it was decided to form u club to bo called tho St. Mark's Hockey Club, and to enter teams for the junior and third grade competitions. The following officers were elected:—President,. Rev. A. M. Johnson; secretary, Mr. C. Burdekin; treasurer, Mr. P. Brockett; auditor, Mr. G. Barltrop; management committee, Messrs. V. Harris, . Hudson, Legg, Morgan, and Vallance. UNITED CLUB. The annual report of the United Hockey Club, to be presented at the annual general ■ meeting to be heid at the Occidental Hotel to-night, states:—The financial position OL the chib is not so satisfactory as it has been in preceding years, and it is hoped that this will be improved by an increase in membership during the coming season. The records of the teams. fov last season were as follow:—Senior Team: 'Cup matchesplayed 9, won 3, drawn 2, lost .I;..goals, for' 10, against 12; points for 8, against 10. Junior Team: Cup matches—played 11, won ■!, drawn 1, lost G; goals for 21, against 30; noints for 9, against 13. Sinceit's formation - the club has played in all 318 matches, won 202, drawn 311, lost SO, and scored 10H goals, against 518. Tho.club- last season played 20 matches, won 7, drew .1, lost 10, and scored (0 goals against \l. The Senior Eleven has during tho twelve seasons of tho club'sj existence played 111 cup matches won 80, drawn 13, lost 9, scored 4G2 goals against 12t, and secured 191 points out of a possible 222. In interprovmcinl mutches last season the club was represented by ' H. C. Hickson, i'. T,. Ashbolt, R. Thomnfon. S. Y. .lones, G. F. Smyth, and W. j. Organ. The thanks of tho club aro due to Messrs.
