As a protest cjainst the shooting of two strikers, a general strike has been ordered. Although the bulk of the workers have refused to join, the city is in a disturbed state, and the newspapers are not being published. The rioters attacked the trains, and the Republican Guard charged them with drawn swords. The mob was dispersed, and many arrests were made, all the strike leaders being included. The public are demonstrating in the streets against the strikers.
