THE OPPOSITION LEADER.
A POLITICAL TOUR. Mr. W. F. Massey, Leader of the Opposition, arrived in Wellington from Auckland yesterday by the Main Trunk express. He intends to leave by the southern steamer this evoning for Christchurch, and thenco will journey by land to Nelson, delivering political addresses at various centres eu route. Within the past two or three weeks Mr. Massey, accompanied by Mr. Lang (member for Manukau), has visited and delivered addresses nl various centres in tho Auckland district, particularly in the King Country. At all the places they visited Messrs. Jlasscy and Lang were accorded a favourable reception. Sinoe tho House rose Mr. Masscy has addressed sixteen meetings in different parts of the Auckland district, and he has -half a dozen similar engagements awaiting fulfilment when he returns to the north.
