At a mooting of tho council of th« Canterbury Acclimatisation .Society a letter was read from the Minister for Internal Affairs asking, for tho society's recommendations as to tho imported and nntivo gamo tho society desired killed or taken in reason, ami also as to what imported and native gaum it d<\sir«d should lie sold. A deputation was appointed to wait on tho Minister on Saturday morning. In respect to (ho question of what game should bo allowed to bo sold, it was agreed to recommend that no imported gaiuo should bo Hold, thai all game on tho society's sanctuaries is absolutely protected, and that proy duck, black swan, spoonbill, and paradise ducks bo the only game, and California quail the only imported game that may be taken or killed durinn the season^
