A report from the Comiiiitleo of the General Hospital, read at last evening's meeting of the Hospital ■ and Charitable Aid Board, was to tho effect that tho medical men had taken exception to tho admission to persons suffering purely from alcoholism. During the discussion, following tho reading of the letter it was stated that no fewer than 30 cases of alcoholism have been treated at the Gendrnl Hospital since tho commencement of last January. The cr.se of one well-to-do patient was referred to who has been under treatment for alcoholism four tinioj within the last few months.
