' REPORT CONFIRMED; '■■'■ It was stated in The Domikiox on March 3 that a report was current to the effect 'that, the Union Company were about to place an order at Home for a new turbine steamer "to replace the Mararoa in the Wellington-Lyttelton ferry service. This is now confirmed. It is stated that the. new., "flier" will be larger than the Maori, and of greater speed. The Maori and the new boat will maintain tho service between Wellington end Lyttclton, and connect with the second express from the south and with the North Island express trains. In round figirres the cost of the Maori was about .£120,000. It is understood that the contract price of the new steamer will exceed that figure. ' . , ■
