Tho rain of overnight' had mado the tracks heavy, and during; tho nlternoon rain fell for about an hour. . Tho best performances were:—G. Walker, first in the 120 yards hurdles (owing 14yds.), lime, 18 2-sscc; .1. W. Bennett, first in tho one mile walk from scratch, time limin. -It 2-ssec. G. N. Hill, scratch, was second in the one mile handicap, his actual time being limn, lit 4-Dsec. Ho won (ho thrce-milo walk in lomin. IS 3-sspc. The following runners have been chosen to represent Auckland at the New Zealand championship meeting at Christchurch :—IOO. 200, and 110 yards, .1. K. Simpson and J. Whitney; HO hurdles, .T. Whitney; one and three miles flat, G. N. Hi)). The team will leave by this evening's Main Trunk train, en route to Christchurch, under tho management of Sir. G. X. Hill,
