At a meeting of foreign Press representatives the Portuguese Foreign Minister stated that the Government was making monthly payments of £Ui to exQueen Maria Pia and dCCOG to ex-King Manoel. It is explained on behalf of the exiled Royalties that the amount paid to tho Queen is in accordance with her dowry, and that to the King is from the income of his private estates.
