PALMERSTON NORTH V. FEUDING. ;By Telegraph.—Special Corresponded.) Feilding, March 12. The most exciting oi' uiauj* groat games played on the Feilding bowling green took place on Saturday afternoon, when the Palmcrston North Club scut a challenge riul; to endeavour to win back, the valuable Dixon Cup and tho Tucker Gold Buckles, which go with tho trophy. The rinks comprised tho following:—Feilding; Peter Thomson, Claphaui, Stewart and J. Bartholomew. Palmcrston: IV. Mowlom, H. Hoyden, N. Malcolm,., and Mayor Nash. 'The challengers scored one on tho first head, and then did not score again, till the seventh head,- when Feilding had 10 to Palmerston's 2. At the twelfth head Palmcrston had 5, and Feilding 12. but in tho next six heads Feilding failed to score, and nt the nineteenth head tho score was 15 all. The next head yielded three to the local nlaycrs, but the scor< was 18 all at the twenty-first head. Nash made a dead head at the twenty-wooiid head, when I'cilding had a handful ol scoring balls, but in tho Iwonty-tlurd head Malcolm and Nash failed to gci in the necessary running shots, and rending won by 2 nil. It was a groat game, marked bv clever geiicralship by both skips.
