STATE SUBSIDY FOR SPORTS TEAM. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright, (Eec. March 0, 9.20 p.m.) ! Sydney, March 9. The State Premier, Mr. M'Gowen, has promised a deputation from tho Amateur Sporting Federation that the Government will give a pound for pound subsidy up to ,£2OO towards sending New South Wales representatives to tho Festival of Empire Sports meeting. One of his reasons for doing so was that it meant an advertisement for New South Wales.
