MAY BE DELAYED BY SICKNESS; (By TolcEraph—Press Association.) Chrlstohuroh, March 3. Mrs. Gilmour (wife of a Papuan missionary), who was welcomed' :at the Methodist Conference to-day, in an interview regarding the probable fate of the exploring party that went to prospcct a new coalfield, stated that when, tlio character of tlio country and tho conditions existing wero taken into consideration, the nou-appearaneo of the expedition at the appointed placo and time might bo easily accounted for by sickness. If any member of tlio expedition contracted a bad attack of malarial fever" when inland, it might last for 'weeks. She did not think it likely that tho party had been attacked by hostile uiatives, as they understood tho natives well and were well known to them.
