KARORI DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.
A SERIES OF RESOLUTIONS,
At a special meeting of the Knrori liiilc Club, the following resolutions were passed, to be considered at the Riflo Club's Conference to be held at Trentliani:—
That in the opinion of rifle clubs a standard set. of rules be adopted for all deience rifle clubs in New Zealand. That' a uniform set of officers be. adopted by all rifle clubs.
That the defence authorities be requested to issue a regulation to the effect that where tho active membership of a club exceeds 30, a deputy-president shall be appainted, who shall be reco"niseil as an olliccr.
That Ihe Defence Department be asked to obtain a contract price for tho supplant uniforms to clubs, delivery to be taken in any quantity as required; or, in the alls-riiativi!, to stock an approved material which clubs may requisition for in any quantity, and have made up. That the conference be asked to pass a vote of thanks to Mr.. AVonfuey for presenting .1 shield for competition', and to Mr. Field, M.P., and members for their efforts on behalf of rifle clubs. That in the interest of improvement, of rifle clubs the Defence' Department be respectfully asked that the scale of allowances and. price of supplies be the fame in Xew Zealand as now obtains in Australia.
That it be asked that rifle clubs bo granted representation on the executive of the Dominion Riflo Association. That it be suggested to conference that each rifle club represented l>3 entitled to one vote on matters arising at conference.
That all resolutions massed at conference lw submitted to rifle clubs prior to further action being ;
