Farewell Reception at Pioneer Club

Pioneer Club wero the scene of a very large gathering of members yesterday afternoon, the occasion being tho farewell reception for Lady Ward, vice-warden of the club, and Jlr», lindlay,':: one ; of •; its vice-presi-. dents, who aro leaving . shortly for England The club has so large y a membership that upon an occasion of this •kind it would be strango if the.time did not pats pleasantly- among so many people quito apart from the music which was contributed at different times during the afternoon. If they met the Suffragettes thev would be able' to say that they; had, and used, the vote; if they met well-dressed women, they would be able to hold their own; and if they met domestic women, they could «hll do so..
