DEATH .OP Mil, A: P. OKB. (By Telegraph.—Prest Association.!. Christchurch, February 23. At the inquest on Alexander Forbes Orr, one witness stated that when tlio canoe wns got nshoro Orr's body was found lying in a nronc position, Mith the feet under the thwarts* nnd his hands clasped. Tlie appearance of tlio body led witness to believe that deceased had a seizuro of some kind, and was dead beforo he could" have been drowned. Ho appeared to witness to have gone to sleep. There was a current where tlio canoe' was found, and a bank of weeds, and probably the canoe struck this bank and overturned. The constable who took charge of the body stated that there were no indications that deceased was unsober. A verdict that deceased accidentally met his death by drowning was recorded. The'funeral of the late Mr. Forbes Orr will leave tho Queen's Wharf on arrival of the Alararoa from Lyttclton on Saturday morning for tho Knrori Cemetery at 9 o'clock. ACCIDENTS ON THE WHARF. ' Two accidents occurred -ou the wharf late yesterday afternoon. A single man, named Frank Martin, was removed to t lip Hospital suffering with an injured - back and a broken nose, as tho result of a mishap on the wharf. Martin, who is-thirty-five years of age, is a,labourer .residing in Ghuznee Street. Another palient in ' tho Hospital is Robert Russell, a'"widower, 61 years'of age; residing at 188 Lambton Quay.. A case fell .on i his leg on tho wharf, and .the limb was fractured just aboyo the ankle.
