THE NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS., Tho second day's racing in connection with tho Now Zealand Swimming Championships will bo held at tho To Aro Baths to-morrow ofternoon. 'l'lio championship events will ho the 410 yds. championship, 220 yds. breast stroke, and tho teams race. Threo teams have entered for tho relay event, the nominations being ns under: — Canterbury: Dingle, Bull, Alkinson, Mason, and Rich. Wellington: Bricc, Stranger, llealv, l?oberts, and Freyberg. Auckland: 'Champion, Welson, O'Haro, Stewart, and I'urdy; Tho heats of the water nolo championship will be continued. Tho 100 nnd 200 yds- handicap oveuts nnd a diving competition also find a placo on tho programme. At Saturday's meeting it was stated' that the Canterbury polo team withdrew at half-time. ;Tho real fact was that tho go mo was played through without any spell. HUNDRED AND MILE RECORDS. WILL THEY STAND? According to a correspondent there is considerable, doubt in tho minds of swimmers as to whether or not the recent times established for the hundred yards and tho milo championships on Saturday will bo passed by the New Zealand Council. It is stated that one of tho championship rules sets out that the startingboard must not bo raoffi than threo feet out of the water, and that it must 1 )0 measured before tho meeting.
