FIRE AT WAIPUKURAU.
COACH AND ENGINEERING PREMISES. (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.! ir • ™- W ai 'P"l<uraii, January 20. Air. H Booth's workshops, comprising a blacksmith's, coachbuilding, and engineering establishment, were destroyed by fire at three o'clock on Saturday morning. Nothing was saved from tho building, as the fire had too big a hold when discovered. The machinorv ot the latest patents, drays, gigs, and a motor bicycle, and also the employees' too s, were all destroyed. Tho empWees will suffer heavy loss, but the building were fully insured. Tho fact that it was [ft calm morning prevented a big conflagration, as tho, woTks destroyed are situated in the centre of a main 6trect, and in the vicinity of business nremises. The origin of tho fire js unknown. The insurance on the buildings was .£6 ios and on the machinery ,£3OO in the' Ailiance Offico. Tho stock was insured for .£SOO in tho Guardian Office.
