A settler at Umutaoroa named James Gilmour, an elderly man, committed suicido by hanging. .'Tho deceased returned' from a trip Homo, last year. Latterly he had been in poor health, and showing signs of mental failure. ' FATALLY.SCALDED. Glsborno, January 27. A Maori woman at Tolaga Bay named Monro Pikopiko was badly scalded eight days ago by a tin of boiling water upsetting. Sho died yesterday. A BODY WASHED ASHORE. ■ '' Cisborno, January 27. Zealandcr Hotel, fell through-a. sky-light-at'that establishment, and sustained several severe cuts, which necessitated her' removal to tho hospital.
