Mr. David Graham Phillips,, a wellknown editor and novelist, has been shot in New York. His assailant, a Harvard man named' Fitzhugh Goldsborough, afterwards shot himself with a revolver, ; dying instantly. He is' believed to have been insane. Mr. Phillips will probably .recover'. The motive for tho attack is unknown.
