"THE MERRYWIDOW." The final performance of the musical farce-comedy, "A ICnight fur ft Day," was given at the Opera .House last evening, before a large audience. .This evening will bo introduced at the Opera House that popular comic opera, "The Merry AYi<]ov,-, ,J . and its reception will probably be a very hearty or.e. On tliis occasion there will be sevs'al alterations in tho east, the ' most. important being Mr. I'rank Cireene as Prince Danilo and Mr. liert Gilbert as Baron PopoiE. Mr. Cireone is credited with' having made u big success as the Prince in 3-lngland, whilst Mr. Gilbert will bo seen for the first time as the excitable Baron. Miss Lottie Sargent appears as Pi-Fi for the first time; Jlr. W.'B. Percy, as JJisch, should bo -well suited, for this character affords ample scope for his -undoubted versatility. Miss Olive-Godwin, as.Katalie, .will kavo 110 cause to -complain, either vocally or histrionically.' "The Merry.--Widow" will once more bo taken by Jiiss Florence Young. Tho part of Jolidan will afford Mr. Roberts ; ail fip■portunity of presenting the finished portrayal which has been associated with his name. ' 'THEATRE ROYAL. . ' The audience, which gathered at the Theatre Royal last , evening enjoyed to the full the excellent programme set before.it.. .Tile.entertaining "turn" of Jules and Marzon, athletes,, won genuine applause, some of the acts being really", remarkable. Mr. Alt' Holt kept tho .house interested with his mimicry and. the Denos were successful in their .laughable sketch "From . Ireland to Scotland in Ten Seconds." Miis Cecile StCphano, the Gibson Girls, Mr. Rob Harper, and the others who go to make up a.strong combination were loudly applauded. The company will be further strengthened on Monday by the reappearance of ,the : Da Re' Me Trio and Mr; Jack Knowles, comedian. .'> ; ■ HIS. MAJESTY'S 'THEATRE. ■ Another successful presentation of T"ul-. lers' Pictures at' His Majesty's Theatre took place last evening. l The star attraction of'the. programme,-is the'intensely, dramatic study entitled:' "A Life" for a Life,", but .the remainder of the :p'ro-. gramme is thoroughly, representative, of every kind .of'human interest and emodrama, comedy, burlesque, V and scenic.
