UNKNOWN MEN INDICTED; - By Telegraph—Press Association—OopyriEht 1 New York, January G. Twenty-two indictments against un. known individuals have been returned at Los Angeles by the Grand Jury investigating the dynamite outrage in September last, which resulted in the destruction of tho "Los Angeles Times" office and considerable loss of life. ' The charge is wholesale murder, as the outcome of a dynamite plot. True bills have been returned.
The building' and plant of the Los Angeles "Times,' one of the best-known newspapers of the South-west, of which General Harrison Gray Otis is editor, and principal owner,- was destroyed by an explosion and fire shortly after one o'clock on the morning, of October, resulting in tho death of mors than twenty of its employees and a-financial loss of nearly .£IOO,OOO. The management placed the blame for the explosion on the labour unions, with which the, paper had long bean engaged in bitter warfare. . It was .charged that unidentified persons set off a charge of dynamite in a blind alley which ran into the centre of the building, completely 'wrecking the interior and setting it on fire from roof to basement.
