The Rev. John Dickie, M.A., Professor of Theology in Knox College, Dunedin, tho Divinity School of the Presbyterian Church, will preach to-morrow 'in - St. John's Church. Professor Dickie, who was a minister of the Church of Scotland, in the parish of Parland in Aberdeenshire, was appointed last year to tho position ho now holds, and during his first session won golden opinions from the students. . He is a man of great scholarship, and as a preacher has hesn much in-'demand since his arrival in the Ho has kindly consented to occupy the pulpit of St. John's until Dr. Gibb's return at the beginning of - February.
