Mr. John Burns, president of the Local Government Board, intends to issue an order on the lines of the Departmental Committees' recommendations issued yesterday in favour, inter alia, of revising the distinction between able-bodied and non-able-bodied paupers,', and . empowering Poor Law Guardians to give outdoor relief subject to the performance of certain tasks of work. •
