MIRAMAR AFFAIRS.
LATE CAE SERVICE. The Miramar Borough Council met last evening, there being present: The Mayor (JJr. John Brodio), and Councillors M'Leod, liuir, Bowie, .Richards," and Al'Clclland. A letter was received from the City Electrical Engineer, stating that arrangements had been made whereby the car leaving Lambton Station at 10.G .p.m. would run right through to. the Miramar terminus each evening. ' In- view of the fact that it would be necessary for the City Tramways Department to bring out another issue" of the pocket time-table almost immediately, the City Corporation would, the letter stated, be unable to make any further alterations in tho Jliramar service during the summer months, unless the Miramar Borough were prepared to bear (lie cost of tho time-table, which would have to bo withdrawn in the event cf such alteration. The council decided that the City Corporation be asked to insert in that portion of the now time-table referring to tho Miramar and Seatonn sections a proviso to the effect that the schedule would be sublet to revision after March 1, 1911. The Wellington Harbour. Board' announced, in a letter to the council, that permission had been granted to- tho" council—subject to the approval of tho plans •by the Goycraor-m-Council—to erect, a protecting. wall on.the Marine Parade at Scatoua. ■v " ".■->■,.
