Deceased , was stock-taking, and whilst the engine- ( room men were employed in' the bakehouse, they noticed .that the. machinery, driven by a gr.ss-enginp, was slowing, up. ( On going into the engine-room, they 1 found deceased lying on tho iloor witn i his head between the spokes of the flywheel of the engine. He had apparently slipped and fell with his head through the flywheel. He was quite dead. c Deceased wa.s prominent in the itnsonic ( body (New Zealand constitution), and was one time Provincial Grand fllaster ( and Grand Superintendent for Southland 1 in the Grand Lodge.
