MUNICIPAL BAND CONCERTS.
— & SCHEDULE AMENDED. A sub-committee of the City ■ Council Finance Committee reported last evening that the town clerk had been instructed to writo to the Mission Band informing it that each band subsidised by the council must perform the same duties. The sub-committee further reported that tho number of.Sunday performances ■ had been reduced from nine to ten to a uniform number of eight for each band, the balance to consist of five evening performances each,. It was recommended that concerts at tho Town Hall and Basin Reserve bo deleted from tho schedule, and that the town clerk be authorised to negotiate with the Tramway Department as circumstances warranted for tho services of tho Tramway Band from time to time at concerts additional to the' schedule- performances.
