CONTROL OF CYCLING.

MEETING OF WELLINGTON CENTEE. Mr. J. E. JTiizgibbon presided at a meeting of'tho Wellington Centre of Hio League of New • Zealand -Wheelmen, at which there was a full attendance of delegates. Permission was granted to tho Britannia. Cycle Club, of Gisborne, to hold a sports meeting on Boxing Day. An offer by the Wellington Cyclo Club of:the free uso of its rooms for meetings was .accepted .with thanks. It was announced that tho annual conference of Centres would take place at Christchurch on December 2. The secretary will represent the local Centre. Tho League Council wrote that Mnnawatu wished to control its district, and. that the Hawke's Bay, Poverty,-Bay, Taranaki, and WanganuL districts would he controlled by the Wellington Centre. This means that tho local Centre will control the North Island, with ,the exception of Auckland and Manawatu. Mr. W. H. Edwards was appointed to represent Port Nicholson. Cycle Club--on the Centre. The secretary was instructed to suggest at theDecember Conference that the succeeding one bo held 'in Wellington in Decembernext year. ■■>'
